Hometown: Madison, Alabama
- A lover of English and Classics, Emily has been published twice in Wide Angle and is now its assistant managing editor for the 2018/2019 school year. She has been on the Dean’s List for six semesters, was inducted into Alpha Lambda Delta honor society her freshman year, and Phi Kappa Phi honor society her sophomore year. After becoming a member of Sigma Tau Delta in fall 2017, she was thrilled to present a paper at the Sigma Tau Delta 2018 International Convention. She is currently interning with the Samford Oral History program performing a linguistic analysis on interviews regarding Docena, a mining company town in Alabama. This semester, she looks forward to writing about her findings from the Docena project, researching Medieval literature for her undergraduate thesis, and learning the basics of Old English. After college, Emily would like to move to Siena, Italy and spend her days reading literature in the Tuscan countryside, but, that failing, she hopes to go to graduate school and pursue a professorship.
