Hometown: Suwanee, GeorgiaCarrie Marie considers herself an honorary "third culture kid" as she lived internationally in the Netherlands and considers those years some of the most influential in her life. In high school, she acted upon her love for service and the great outdoors, she received several awards from The International Award for Young People. Carrie Marie acted as both English tutor and mentor to many of her peers while living overseas and continued to mentor freshmen after moving to the States. She was involved as a student leader in her church's senior high ministry, as well as both speaking at and producing a student led youth conference for several summers. At Samford, Carrie Marie continues her work as a freelance photographer and designer, has become involved with Residence Life, and is also a part of the Global Missions Program. She will be working over the summer in urban ministry with the Center for Student Missions in Denver, Colorado.
