During high school, Hallie enjoyed working at Chick-fil-a, tutoring younger students, and participating in ballet, varsity track, drama productions, and rhetorical essay competitions. She served as National Beta Club President, Chorus Secretary, Interact Club Leader, and was a National Honor Society member and AP Scholar. At Samford, Hallie is studying in the Ida V. Moffat School of Nursing. She also writes for The New York Times’ “The Edit” newsletter, serves on the Fellows Leadership Council, serves as the Academic Excellence Chair for Phi Mu, rowed on the Crew team, and participates in service cadres where she tutors elementary schoolers. Additionally, she is a member of Omicron Delta Kappa leadership honors society, Phi Kappa Phi honors society, and has been awarded Dean’s List honors all four semesters. Hallie hopes to become first a pediatric nurse and then a nurse practitioner in pediatric mental health after graduating.
