The full schedule for Samford University’s 2025 Homecoming Weekend has been announced. It will take place on Nov. 7-8, with opportunities for alumni to connect, watch multiple sporting events and enjoy fun activities on campus.
Before the football team kicks off against ETSU on Saturday at 2:30 p.m., there are several events that alumni won’t want to miss.
The weekend will start with the Samford Homecoming Lecture Series, where several voices from across campus will speak to topics including an overview of studying abroad and how those academics impact current students’ experience, resiliency in Christian faith and the NIL era of collegiate sports. At 5:30 p.m. on Friday, alumni and friends will officially kick off the weekend with the Homecoming Quad Party. The night will conclude with the men’s basketball team playing its home opener at 7:30 p.m. against South Carolina State. Tickets go on sale Nov. 3 and can be purchased here.

On Nov. 8, the day will start with reunion breakfasts for the classes of 2000 and 2015, along with the Golden Bulldog Brunch. The Class of 1975 will also be recognized as part of the brunch. Join the entire Samford community in Hodges Chapel at 10 a.m. for a worship service. At 11 a.m., tailgating on the Quad will begin. As with every home game, fans will gather for the Bulldog Walk as the team makes its way to Pete Hanna Stadium. At 1:30 p.m., there will be a dedication of a statue of Pete Hanna—Samford philanthropist and former student-athlete—outside the stadium that bears his name.
