Claire Gann is a first-year Master of Social Work student at Samford University, where she entered the program through Samford's undergraduate Fast Track pathway. Her time at Samford has been shaped by the Samford Worship Collective, which she now serves as vice president, along with Alpha Delta Pi and the Micah Fellows Leadership Council. That same heart for worship carries into her church, where she leads worship and walks alongside students in the worship ministry. Through her graduate program, Claire interns at the Alabama Baptist Children's Home, supervising home visits and biological parent-child visits, attending family court, and observing safety checks, work that has given her a close look at the families she hopes to spend her career serving. Being part of the Micah Fellows program has been a particular joy, teaching her what it means to serve others with dignity and humility. She is actively involved in campus leadership, serving as Director of Mentorship for the Samford Society of Kinesiology and holding multiple leadership roles within Chi Omega. Ashlyn is also engaged in professional and academic organizations, including the Pre-PA Club, HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America), and Alpha Epsilon Delta Honors Society. Academically, Amelia Kate has been named to the Dean’s List every semester, is the recipient of the Eva Clapp White Memorial Voice Scholarship, and was also invited to and accepted membership in The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi. Through the Micah Fellows program, Amelia Kate has had the opportunity to serve at Lifeline in the Church Partnerships department, learning about CarePortal and the way the church, the community, and ministries like Lifeline can work together to bring people to Christ. Madi aspires to work for a news organization, such as National Geographic, to continue her love of reading, writing, and photography. Her favorite Bible verse is Isaiah 6:8, Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?” And I said, “Here am I. Send me!”.

She was very active in Young Life, and enjoyed spending her summers serving on work crew at a YL camp. Eady was active in Young Life Capernaum- which ministers to teens and young adults with disabilities. She was involved in starting her church’s “Belong” ministry, which works to build a faith-based community for adults with disabilities. Eady was a member of her school’s cross country and track teams for four years, and was active in her church’s youth group. Eady is studying Communication Sciences and Disorders, with the hopes of working in disability ministry one day.

Amanda also served two years as her volleyball clubs team captain. Amanda plans to major in Health Sciences with a minor in Disability Studies and Business at Samford. She was involved in many clubs including Beta, Philosophy, National Honor Society, and Spanish Club (which she was the president of). She played left fullback for the varsity soccer team, ran sprints on the varsity track team, and was captain of the cross country team. Adda plans to major in exercise science with minors in Spanish and Strength and Conditioning. After graduating, she plans to be a sports physical therapist and work with athletes, sharing the light of Jesus to everyone she meets.

While attending Samford, Scarlett plans to study Biochemistry on the pre-medical track, and pass the MCAT. After graduation, she hopes to work with areas of need in Birmingham, whether through clinics for people without insurance, or working on the Alabama Department of Public Health team for those areas of need.

She held the role of team manager in Mock Trial, as well as participating in her school's Science Club, Philanthropy Club, and Cross Country Team. Moreover, she co-founded a volunteer club called Fida Corda (meaning "Faithful Hearts" in Latin) that served at local organizations in her community, such as Tarrant Area Food Bank, Community Enrichment Center, and Union Gospel Mission. At Christ Chapel Bible Church, she served in the Preschool Department in the Kids' Ministry by filling in the classrooms as a teacher or other roles where support was needed. Furthermore, she was a member of Keller Communicators, a Toastmasters Club, under the pathway, Persuasive Influence, where she engaged in presenting both prepared and impromptu speeches. She plans to attend graduate school and aspires to combine her love for science with her love of public speaking in her future career.

Hometown: Prior to coming to Samford, Micah was senior captain of the varsity basketball team, a member of the musical theatre program throughout his high school career, and student body secretary at Trinity School of Durham and Chapel Hill in North Carolina. His passion turned out to be photography, primarily that of sports, and he has worked with various high schools and colleges, including Duke University Athletics. Micah has also been heavily involved in YoungLife, going to club every Monday and devoting weeks out of his summers to serve kids his age at camps around the country. In his free time he enjoys playing guitar, piano, and ukelele. Micah is planning on studying Sports Marketing at Samford, with hopes of working for a professional sports team one day.

She was an active member of her church, Passion City, participating in the Worship Academy and serving in the nursery. While at Samford, Brynn is studying psychology and is excited to be involved in the Micah Fellows, as well as her sorority, Delta Delta Delta. After graduation, Brynn plans to attend medical school to become a psychiatrist or a clinical psychologist.

Hometown: Before coming to Samford, Hannah was a member of National Honors Society, Spanish National Honors Society, and a leader for Fellowship of Christian Athletes at Blue Valley North High School. Hannah was a competitive gymnast for fifteen years and a varsity pole vaulter in high school. She is passionate about serving individuals with disabilities and has been volunteering with numerous non-profits in KC but is excited to get plugged in with non-profits in Birmingham! While attending Samford, Hannah plans to pursue a degree in Business with a minor in Spanish. After graduation, she hopes to find an opportunity to combine her Business degree with her passion for service.

Hometown: Prior to coming to Samford, Mary Carlon was a part of several national honors' socities at Mountain Brook High School. She was a member of Mu Alpha Theta, French Honor Society, National Honor Society, and Art Honor Society, and she was awarded the Global Seal of Biliteracy for French. In addition, she took 10 AP courses and exams, and she was an Ambassador for her high school and a member of Key Club. Outside of academics, she served the community as a Sweetheart in the Sweetheart Guild where she was awarded the most hours for her grade each of her three years she was a member. Her senior year she was awarded the Elizabeth Saia Award and most overall hours for the entire guild. She also served her community as a tutor and intern at Oak Tree Ministries. While attending Samford, Mary Carlon who has a passion for creating art, plans to study Architecture.

Hometown: Before coming to Samford, Sydney graduated from Rogers Heritage High School in Rogers, Arkansas, where she served as a captain of the varsity softball, dance, and cheer teams and founded her school's Christian club, Hope Dealers. She now serves as a counselor at a Christian sports and adventure camp, where she has the opportunity to mentor campers and encourage them in their faith while creating a fun, Christ-centered environment. At Samford, Sydney is pursuing a degree in Sports Business. After graduation, she hopes to become a financial advisor for athletes, helping them steward their resources with wisdom and integrity while using her career as a ministry to build relationships and point others to Christ.

Hometown: Prior to coming to Samford, Naomi was her high schools’ National Honor Society President and Choir President. She also started running her own children’s theatre camps in her local area at the age of 15. While attending Samford, Naomi will be majoring in Theatre for Youth: Performance and Teaching Artistry. After graduating, Naomi dreams of running her own children’s theatre to help reach and serve her community. She is so excited to see how God will use her time at Samford!

Hometown: Prior to attending Samford, Anna was a member of the student government executive council, National Honors Society, and Spanish Honors Society at her high school. She dedicated countless hours in the theatre department at school and participated in the Blumey and Jimmy Awards competitions. Anna is thrilled to be a part of Micah Fellows, having gained her passion for service in the past four years of mission trips to Guatemala. While at Samford, Anna plans to study Psychology in order to reach her goal of helping people on their mental health journeys. Anna also plans to minor in dance to learn more and grow in her passion for performance.

Hometown: Prior to becoming a Samford University student, Ashlyn was recognized as an AP Scholar with Distinction, inducted into National Honor Society, and graduated summa cum laude. She was highly involved in her high school's clinical rotation program, where she shadowed various medical professionals and gained valuable experience in the healthcare field. Furthermore, Ashlyn was deeply invested in her church, spending years as a kids ministry leader and participant in the high school ministry. At Samford, Ashlyn intends to study Biology and pursue a career as a pediatric physical therapist in order to serve children with developmental disabilities and help improve their quality of life.

Hometown: Abby is a graduate of Rocky Bayou Christian School in Niceville, Florida, where she earned an Honors STEMM Diploma. Throughout high school, she was actively involved in leadership and service through Student Government and Student Life, Beta Club, Honors Chamber Choir, and varsity cheerleading. She served as varsity cheer captain and was named MVP for two consecutive years. Abby especially enjoys serving and volunteering with children, which has helped shape her passion for a future in pediatric medicine. At Samford, she plans to major in biology and, after graduation, attend medical school to pursue her goal of becoming a pediatrician.

Hometown: Prior to coming to Samford, Sadie Jane was a National Honor Society member, FCA Intern, and Best Buddies Secretary. While in high school, she also was involved in Track and Cross Country all 4 years, while serving 2 years as Team Captain in Cross Country. Sadie Jane also served her incoming Senior year summer as a Children's Hospital of Alabama Volunteer, and throughout high school volunteered at New Day Women's Crisis Pregnancy Center. She was heavily involved in her church and went on multiple mission trips to Clarkston, Georgia and also hosted a Bible study. While attending Samford, Sadie Jane plans to study Sports Medicine. After graduation, she aspires to go to medical school to become a physician and be the hands and feet of Jesus to everyone she encounters.

Hometown: Before coming to Samford, Kirby was a member of her school’s lacrosse team and served as the manager for the volleyball and basketball teams. She was also a member of the National Honor Society and actively served her community through Thrive, a nonprofit that connects caring adults with at-risk youth through gospel-centered relationships. Kirby was a buddy for Young Life Capernaum, where she helped introduce adolescents and young adults with disabilities to Jesus, and she was an active member of her church, volunteering at Vacation Bible School, serving on the youth leadership team, and participating in small groups. During the summers, Kirby works at Camp Skyline Ranch and volunteers at Young Life camps, where she enjoys investing in the lives of children and teenagers. While attending Samford, Kirby plans to study Human Development and Family Sciences. After graduation, she hopes to continue her education and pursue a career where she can serve children and families in meaningful ways.

Hometown: Prior to coming to Samford, Taylor Saunders was an AP Scholar, a three-time Academic Letter recipient, and an active student leader at Wheeler High School. She served in numerous leadership roles, including Vice President and Creative Director of the National Art Honor Society, founder of a student Bible study, and member of Student Government, while also balancing the demands of being a nationally competitive all-star cheerleader. Through nearly ten mission trips and years of local service, she developed a love for ministry, missions, and serving others. Taylor plans to study Secondary Education at Samford University, hoping to teach internationally post grad to use education to share the love of Christ and make a lasting impact on children and communities around the world.

Hometown: Prior to attending Samford, Anna was a member of National Honor Society, National Art Honor Society and National Spanish Honor Society at Cherokee High School. She served as president of Friends’ Club, a group that included disabled students into everyday school activities & as The Lead Student Impact Mentor at three local elementary schools. Anna created the first all-girls Bible study at her public school & served families fighting childhood cancer through Lighthouse family retreats. At Samford, she hopes to continue her passion of working with children with special needs by finding a career that combines her love for inclusion & advocacy along with faith & fellowship.

Hometown: Before Samford, James trusted his ability to tell a good story and make everyone feel seen. During high school, James participated in over 10 plays, musicals, and even chorus performances, played on the tennis, track, and cross country teams for a few years, and was the President of the Worship team. However, the best (and his favorite) group he has ever been a part of serving is at Hope Heals camp since it was founded in 2017, and where he will continue to be present in for the rest of his life. At Samford, James hopes to learn from his Communication Studies courses and also plans on studying Social Entrepreneurship and Nonprofit leadership. After graduation, James seeks a deeper understanding of God's word and how to make the world more accessible for all people by going to seminary and continuing to serve and perhaps one day work with Hope Heals.
