The Delta Psi Chapter of Zeta Tau Alpha at Samford University is hosting Mr. Samford 2023 on March 25, 2023. The production will exemplify the highest ideals of humor and grandeur, while supporting the philanthropy so close to our hearts, Breast Cancer Education and Awareness.The proceeds of this production benefit the Zeta Tau Alpha Foundation to support scholarships, educational programming, leadership development and our fight against Breast Cancer, which includes our partnerships with Bright Pink, the NFL, and the American Cancer Society.

Miles College 125th Anniversary Benefit Concert Featuring Dr. Dorinda Clark-Cole

Miles College kicks off its 125th Anniversary Celebration with a Scholarship Benefit Concert with Dr. Dorinda Clark-Cole and Friends. All proceeds raised will benefit scholarships for our deserving students. Dr. Dorinda Clark-Cole is an American two-time Grammy Award-winning gospel singer, songwriter, musician, talk show host, and evangelist. Clark–Cole is best known as a member of the family vocal group The Clark Sisters and as a daughter of pioneering choral director Mattie Moss Clark. As a member of The Clark Sisters. She is known to the music world as the "Rose of Gospel Music." She will be joined by the Miles College choral groups, The Golden Voices and the Miles College Choir.

Concertmaster and Friends is a dynamic chamber music series presented in the intimate setting of Samford University's Brock Recital Hall. Alabama Symphony Orchestra Concertmaster Daniel Szasz, fellow ASO musicians, and friends of the orchestra perform a variety of delightful, inspiring music. This season the series will include Bach's Musical Offering on Oct. 11, Trailblazers: Celebrating Women on March 7 and Rachmaninoff @ 150 on May 2.

It’s a Soul Thing-Taylor Hicks in Concert

Alabama Game Changers and the Samford University Wright Center present “American Idol” season 5 winner Taylor Hicks in concert. Hailed as “part Stax, part Motown and part honky-tonk” by The New York Times, Hicks’ intoxicating blend of soul, blues, country, and rock 'n' roll quickly rendered him a household name as he progressed to the show’s record-breaking finale in 2006, a historic television event which drew an audience of more than 200 million viewers. Proceeds from this concert event will benefit children of adoption and foster care with learning disabilities in need of intervention at Alabama Game Changers. Alabama Game Changers is a medical- literacy clinic located in Hoover Alabama. The center provides remediation of learning deficits in addition to building self-esteem, executive function skills and self-worth to all who enter the doors.
