Celebrate Christmas is the climax of Christmas celebrations on the campus of Samford University. We hope you will join us as we celebrate the season’s magic, music, and most important gift of all: the mystery of the Christ child born in a manger. This event features the individual and combined forces of the Samford University Orchestra, A Cappella Choir, Gracenotes, University Chorale, and Worship Arts Ensemble alongside Samford faculty and the Samford Dance Company. It is a gift to the Samford and greater Birmingham community from the School of the Arts. This second annual event will be a grand evening featuring Christmas music, cookies, and cider in the Wright Center patio and lobby at 6:30 pm. The uninterrupted performance will begin at 7:30 pm and last approximately 90-minutes. Tickets are free of charge, but they are required to attend.

Step Sing began as a sing-along on the steps of Renfroe Hall at the Howard College East Lake Campus in 1951. It was held once a semester and soon became a competition. In 1957, Howard College moved to its present location on Lakeshore Drive, bringing with it the tradition of Step Sing. In 1976, Step Sing moved to its current home in the Samford University Wright Center.
