Our desire is to connect Samford students through small groups that lead to spiritual growth and biblical community. Two primary ways students are able to get involved are through Samford Small Groups and Cadres.
Samford Small Groups
Samford Small Groups consist of a group of students sorted by availability and preference. Students can register for a group individually or with friends. These groups will study God’s word together, develop lasting relationships on campus, and encourage spiritual conversations that lead to a deepening faith.
Samford Small Groups currently meet Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday nights. Sign up any time throughout the semester for a small group using the link below.
On-campus cadres are designed to promote engaging conversation that challenges you to grow spiritually and connect with a small circle of peers.
Cadres are small groups led by faculty or staff that meet approximately 8 times during a semester to discuss a book, biblical text, specified topic. Up to 8 convocation credits are given to those who complete the requirements.
Service cadres seek to help students integrate faith and learning through action. These cadres engage students with community partners in the greater Birmingham community in meaningful ways. Visit the Mann Center webpage for more information.
All cadre registration takes place online during the first week of classes each semester. An email will be sent to all undergraduates announcing that students may log into Banner under the “Spiritual Life” tab to see all available groups.
