Fitness Classes

Classes are open to anyone and meet in Seibert Gym. If you need directions come to the Campus Rec office. All classes are free and spots will be limited so please come early. Once the room is filled, the door will be closed. The full class schedule is listed below.

Classes are held Monday, Wednesday from 4-5pm in Room 409

Not your typical workout, Pound combines cardio, conditioning, and strength training with drumming. Pound uses weighted drumsticks (called Ripstix) to create a full-body toning experience that you’ll love. Each class fuses Pilates, isometric movements, and plyometrics to sculpt muscle and torch up to 900 calories per hour. If you’re not exactly musically inclined, don’t worry- the routines are simple to follow and set to calibrated songs so you can get the rhythm down easily.

Core/Body Fitness is an allover body toning/strengthening/flexibility/ balance class that incorporates many different training techniques and equipment to get you in great shape. A typical class uses light to medium weights, resistance bands, stability balls, barre balls, cardio drills and a mat but no two classes are exactly alike. We keep the playlist and the material fresh and fun. The class variety combined with high-energy music ensures you will never be bored with your workout. So much more than just an abs class – Core/Body Fitness will help you become stronger, leaner and more defined.

This program fuses hypnotic Latin rhythms and easy-to-follow moves to create a one of a kind fitness program that will blow you away. The goal is simple: we want you to want to work out, to love working out, to get hooked. This is an absolute blast of one hour of calorie-burning, body-energizing, awe-inspiring movements meant to engage and captivate for life!

Neighborhood Barre

Classes are held Tuesday, Thursday from 6-7pm in Room 409

Barre combines Pilates, yoga and ballet moves to give you beautiful, sculpted, lean muscles- without the impact and injuries dancers endure. The other, just as significant, aspect of barre is the focus it demands. And the focus you reclaim as you go through your workout- armed (with well-defined arms we might add) to face the rest of your day calmly and confidently. For this class you will need to bring a water and a small towel.

P90X Live

Classes are held Monday, Wednesday from 6-7pm in Room 106

P90X Live is a group-focused total-body strength and cardio class that incorporates proven principles from personal training and functional strength coaching. Get ready to compete with new workout buddies, bust through personal plateaus together, rock out to hardcore music, and give it your all as you encourage each other to get in the best shape of your lives!

PiYo™ Live

Classes are held Monday, Wednesday from 6-7pm in Room 409

Sweat & burn calories with fusion-style movements inspired by Yoga and Pilates. This class incorporates dynamic balance, strength, flexibility, and functional training with upbeat music. All levels welcome.

Total Body Blast

Classes are held Monday, Thursday from 3:30-4:30pm at the intramural fields (field 1)

Total Body Blast is a one-hour bootcamp class designed to maximize your calorie burn and give you great results in time for spring. The class is suitable for all levels and will incorporate cardio, strength training, agility drills, and more. No two classes will be the same! Each session is led by a certified personal trainer to ensure that you learn how to work out safely and effectively. We will also discuss nutrition strategies and tips to help you achieve your goals. 

Country Heat

Classes are held Tuesday, Thursday from 5-6pm in Seibert Gym 106

Country Heat is a high energy, low impact country dance-inpsired workout. It is a full body workout to fun Country hits. Can be done by all levels.
